ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
What is the NCUK International Foundation Year?
The NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) is a globally recognised qualification designed to prepare international students for undergraduate study at leading universities worldwide. EduBridge Education is an NCUK Study Centre, licensed to deliver NCUK’s pathway programmes, through which students gain access to a wide network of universities across the UK and other global destinations, with thousands of courses available for their higher education journey. Students who successfully complete the programme and submit their university applications through NCUK are eligible for guaranteed entry to NCUK University Partners, providing a clear and supported pathway to higher education.
Programme Structure
Students study three academic subject modules aligned to their intended degree progression, alongside English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and a dedicated Skills for Success module.

Choose Your Academic Pathway
Students select a pathway aligned with their intended undergraduate degree through the NCUK International Foundation Year. Each pathway is designed to prepare students with the academic knowledge and skills required for successful progression to university.
All pathways include English for Academic Purposes (EAP), supporting the development of essential academic English skills for higher education.
Who Can Apply?
The NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) is designed for students who have completed secondary education and are seeking a recognised pathway to undergraduate study at international universities.
Academic Requirements:
- Completed secondary school education (Grade 12 / equivalent)
- Minimum academic requirements vary depending on the chosen pathway
English Language Requirement
- IELTS 5.0 or equivalent English qualification
- Students are assessed on their English proficiency at enrolment
- English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is included to support academic English development for university study
Minimum Age
- Students are normally required to be at least 17 years old at the start of the programme

Students can apply for the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) at EduBridge during the following intake periods. Early applications are encouraged to secure placement and complete admission processing on time.
